She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain.
Louisa May Alcott (1873)

I have been reading as much as I could and so far I have read 34 books.  I have thoroughly enjoyed each book.  Reading all of these books have changed my reading habits.  I have developed (I hope) a reading habit.  When I catch myself not doing anything and I have to read something.  I hope to continue this good habit on because it is very important!  My daughter loves the books I have checked out and wished that she could have read books like that when she was young.  She even checked a book from the library and she got a library card!  Good for her!  I hope this pass this new habit on to my grandchildren.   I hope they will find me reading a book and take an interest.

My nose is in Anne Frank and it is real scary reading this book and it makes me think of what she had to go through.  I can't imagine not taking a shower.  Many things I have taken for granted, but I am glad I am reading this book because I have never read this book before.  I have been to the Farmington Library and checking out books like crazy.  I have my granddaughter reading as I am reading these wonderful books.  Reading brings knowledge and knowledge is power!

The last Monday of October! Oh how time is flying by and it seems like I'm still standing still and not moving just like in a dream.  Reading has been lots of fun thus far.  I appreciate taking this class.  My daughter has checked out Anne Frank and she has finished reading it two days!  I am glad she is reading and she is enjoying it; I gave her another book to read and she is probably finsihed by now.  I am still reading Anne Frank and other children's books. I have so much to do besides reading. I have homework to finish, two tests to study for, tutoring and writing out reflections.  I am building a memory of my school days.  I will look back and remember how I struggled and I will be glad that I struggled.

It is almost the end of the semester!  This semester has been so busy.  I have been reading other library books along Anne Frank.  I have some of the requirements filled, but I want to continue reading.  I never read as much as I have this semester; it is actually a lot of fun.  I know I will read with my students daily and have them love reading.  Reading was a weak area for me, but I can read now and still kind of slow, but I am reading!

I am in a slump! I have to read some other materials besides Anne Frank!  It's because it's close to the end of the semester.  I have two tests to take this coming Saturday and my mind is on that each day and I have been reading and studying.  I am about finished with my reading assignments and I am planning to ready more that is required after Saturday, of course!

I have not read too much in my library books.  I did read, but the reading was for studying for the teacher assessment tests.  I read and read to get ready for the test and I hope I did well.  Now I feel more at ease to finish my book reading requirements and hope to finish with that also.

I am still reading Anne Frank! Would you say I am a slow reader? I enjoy reading and I am reading other books for the required reading.  This week will be hard since it is the holidays and time will be spent with family.

I read more of Anne Frank, but I am not finished! Today we challenged the students at Tibbetts to finish reading, but I have not finish yet! What is taking so long?  Today I have to read some more historical fiction and realistic fiction.  The books that I had listed for historical and realisic fiction were too short and needs to be chapter books!  Oh! I still need to get busy and continue reading!  Hey! guess what? You guessed it-I am finish reading Anne Frank!  I don't know why it took me so long to read it, but I am relieved!  I feel now I can breathe.  I felt Anne kept me hostage and did not want me to let go.  I cannot believe what she went through, but she was a strong girl and even got stronger towards the end of the book.  She gave up Peter because she did not want him to be dependent on her; she needed someone stronger than her.  What a book!  I had never read the book before, but I am real glad that I did and say that I did read it.
